ABSTRACT
Objective: A review paper titled “Ocular Disorders in College Students (18-24 Years) Associated with Active and Passive Smoking: A Systematic Review” aims to provide a thorough understanding of the relationship between active and passive smoking and ocular disorders in the particular age group of college students (18-24 years) by methodically examining and synthesizing the existing literature. Design:Systematic literature review and meta- analysis of randomized controlled trials. Methods: A thorough and organized approach to evaluating and combining the body of research already conducted on a particular subject is the systematic review. Finding pertinent studies, evaluating their caliber, gathering data, and interpreting the findings are some of the tasks involved. A systematic review’s main goals are to present a thorough summary of the state of the field’s research at this point and suggest areas for future investigation. among this instance, the systematic review focuses on eye conditions linked to both active and passive smoking among college students (18–24 years old). Main Outcome Measures: Assessing and summarizing the effects of smoking on ocular health in this particular demographic is one of the primary outcome measures of a systematic review on “Ocular Disorders in College Students (18-24 Years) Associated with Active and Passive Smoking”. The review attempts to give a thorough grasp of the present state of knowledge on ocular problems linked with smoking in college students aged 18–24 by methodically reviewing and synthesizing evidence relevant to various outcome markers. This data can help design focused initiatives for improving ocular health and lowering the prevalence of smoking in this particular demographic, as well as inform public health interventions and policy recommendations. Draw attention to any areas where the research is ambiguous or inadequate. among order to improve our knowledge of the connection between smoking and ocular health among college students, this entails pointing out gaps in the literature and making recommendations for future research approaches. Results: Draw attention to any areas where the research is ambiguous or inadequate. among order to improve our knowledge of the connection between smoking and ocular health among college students, this entails pointing out gaps in the literature and making recommendations for future research approaches. Conclusions: In conclusion, a thorough analysis of the connection between active and passive smoking and ocular disorders in college students ages 18 to 24 has been made possible by this systematic review. Based on a comprehensive analysis of existing data, there is a worrying correlation between tobacco use and poor outcomes related to eye health in this crucial group of people. Since both active and passive smoking have been shown to have negative effects on ocular health, the prevalence of smoking among college students continues to be a major public health concern. The ocular disorders associated with smoking that have been identified include a variety of conditions such as dry eye syndrome, cataracts, age- related macular degeneration, and changes in visual acuity. These results emphasize the complex effects of smoking on the sensitive ocular structures and the pressing need for focused interventions.
